History:
Moorings Mediquip serves its customers from its Head Office based in Ballymena, Co. Antrim N.Ireland which includes more than 8000 sq ft of showrooms, stores, offices and manufacturing facilities as well as a training suite which often hosts therapists studying various aspects of care. Established by Girvan MacCorkell in 1992, the group offers a specialist service to individuals, charities, nursing / residential homes and Health Boards and Trusts. The group grew in 2007 when our Scottish business, Wheelchair Care, was acquired.
In order to meet its objectives Moorings Mediquip has recruited a team of staff specially trained in seating, wheelchairs, pressure care and moving and handling who between them have more than 100 years of experience. All ages from children to the elderly are catered for and all personnel pride themselves in offering a personal service to match equipment to needs thus fulfilling our mission statement. Assessments are carried out free of charge either at a client’s home or at our wheelchair accessible premises with easy parking at the door.
